About the Experience

We spend so much of our time looking outward, thinking about what needs to be done, responding to what’s around us, and moving from one thing to the next. Somewhere along the way, it can become easy to lose touch with ourselves.

Returning to Yourself is a simple practice of slowing down, turning inward, and reconnecting with your center.

We’ll begin with gentle breathing and awareness exercises to help you settle into your body and become more present.

From there, we’ll gradually work with the senses. What are you hearing? What are you noticing in your body? Where is your mind going? What changes when you stop reaching outward for a moment and allow yourself to settle inward?

Sound healing will be woven throughout the experience, helping you relax more deeply and creating space for greater awareness and inner listening.

What to Expect

  • Gentle breathing and awareness practices
  • Guided meditation
  • Sound healing
  • Quiet time for rest and integration

The equinox is a natural time to pause and find balance as we move into a new season. It gives us a moment to slow down, check in, and reconnect with ourselves before moving forward.

This practice is simple, yet there are many layers to explore.

You don’t need to be an experienced meditator. You don’t need to stop thinking or clear your mind.

You are simply practicing coming back.

To your breath.

To your body.

To your center.

To yourself.

Mats, blankets and chairs are provided. Please bring anything else you might need for your comfort.

Before you come in

A few things people ask.

Do I need meditation experience?

Not at all. This practice is beginner-friendly and gently guided from start to finish. You do not need to know how to meditate or have any previous experience.

What position will I be in during the meditation?

Whatever feels most comfortable for your body. You can sit in a chair, sit on the floor, lie down, or sit in a traditional meditation position. There is no required posture.

What if I have a hard time slowing down my thoughts?

That is completely normal. The goal is not to stop thinking or force the mind to be quiet. The practice gives you simple ways to work with the breath, body, and senses so you can gradually settle and return to your center.

Do I need to bring anything?

Just wear comfortable clothing and bring anything that will help you feel at ease. Mats, blankets, and other props can be used as needed. If you have a favorite pillow or eye mask, you are welcome to bring it.
